Object disappears when given material

I’m still new in blender and ran into a bit of a problem.
I made a texture of grass but when trying to apply the texture to an object made in blender the object turns invisible. The weird part is that when the texture is applied to a default unreal object like a box for instance it doesn’t turn invisible.

The box on the left is made using blender and the box on the right is a default unreal asset

I hope anyone has a clue on what could be the issue here.

probably an issue with the uv map. if your new to modeling just do a google search for ‘unwrap uv blender’
