Hey I was trying Ansel plugin on a scene I found on a youtube tutorial the project is in this link " UE4.14 Bedroom Source Project File - Putting It All Together"
Pressing alt+f2 works fine, it opens ansel UI and when i click snap without changing capturing mode it snaps pictures normally
but when i change mode to super resolution or 360 the play in standalone crashes but the editor itself keep working normally
I tried
reinstalling the engine
reinstalling Nivdia drivers (using gtx 1080)
testing entirely empty level
using game mode base as controller
added the log file and my computer spec
thanks in advance
@Mdksmash When I open Nvidia Ansel in standalone game > choose 360 > click snap > the standalone game is crashing and. UE shows a message and I can choose to restart the standalone game.
Hi everyone. I’m moving this into the ‘Bug Reports’ section so our support staff can track and follow up on this. Ultimately this may be an issue with the Ansel plugin for Nvidia to resolve (and not with the Engine for Epic), but we’d like to investigate to make that determination. We’ll follow up soon if we need any additional information to help us reproduce this crash.
So I just tested the issue on my end, and did not experience the crash you are reporting.
Could anyone experiencing the issue provide me with their full logs, steps, and any other specifics regarding the crash that will help me reproduce it on my end?
So far, every single capture type worked as expected. Are any of you modifying the default resolution when you capture?
Let me know if you have additional questions or comments.
My scene has plane reflection, and i work on two screens. I just modify the hemisphere to 256 in my baselightmass.ini (sorry i am french). I resinstalled my graphic driver but same issue.
Thank you for checkout this issue.
In my situation
I have tried empty first person shooter template with ue4.14.1 and ue4 4.14.2
when play in stand alone mode and go use ansel ( anse’s screen shots and Exr ) are working fine, anything else crashes the stand alone process ( sometimes with unreal engine crash reporter and some other times it’s a windows 10 message saying the ue4 stand alone process stopped working )
I have reinstalled nivdia Drivers to the latest version todate (version 376.33)
and I have reinstalled the ue 4.14 engine
and here is my dxdiag file logfile of the project and what was in the crash directory
I made a screenrecord so you can see what I see when i open the Nvidia Ansel in Standalone Game. The 1/2 blackscreen and strange shatters looks always like this. My screenrecords stops automatic when Ansel crash so I made a screenshot of the error after the crash.
Thanks for the clear and precise repro steps. I was able to confirm what you are reporting and have gone ahead and entered a bug report for the issue. You can track the report following the link below on our public issues tracker.
Once the issue has been addressed by our engineers the ticket will be updated and reflected in the public tracker. Let me know if you have further questions or need additional assistance.
I think this issue is caused by a bug in Nvidia driver (376.33). I have downgraded drivers to 375.92 and it works just fine. Tested on UE4.14.3 and GTX1080.
