Now I have Odd Snapping behaviour WHYY :(

I’ve recently started a new VR project in UE5.2. Everything was working great until I opened the project a second time. I was lucky to have the day off so I spent the day working on it.

The next day I open the same project and nothing I add to the scene (dragging assets/3D Models into the viewport) Snapp to any surface. even the “end” key doesn’t work any more.
I have reset all the settings checked surface snapping is enabled and tried all I can think of to get it working back to normal.

If there is a table say, In the centre of the viewport and I want to drag and place a plate on it (or even a Cube, It doesn’t matter what Asset/Model). It will spawn 15m beyond the table and not interact with anything that’s already placed in the scene.

I’ve spent nearly 2 hours on this issue and its starting to get to me.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

You likely have something invisible (or translucent) with collision. Use keyboard key “T” to toggle targeting of translucent actors.

Hiya, and thank you for your reply.

Here’s a link to a video which shows the issue

UE5 Snapping Issue any Ideas? - YouTube

I can work it out at all and its driving me nuts :frowning:

It doesn’t look like your meshes have collision, or they have collision disabled

In the video I put on the “Visibility Collision” so you can see it. Also it happens with any object with known collision enabled.
