Non emissive glowing shader


How can I create a glowing material that doesnt emit light ?

make it translucent and set the mode to forward translucency volume.

I encountered the same problem this morning!

If you were to ‘over-drive’ (above 1) the light color values would get super bright/blown out, Similarly if you under-drive (.01) it still shows a nice pure color as emissive, without the added lighting.


This is the image that inspired my (admittedly amateurish) recreation:

Glitchereds suggestion would be best if you wanted zero red from the lights to appear in your floor reflections.
