with the new release of twinmotion the shadows of omni - neon, area lights, doesen't works. This issue seemed fixed in the last preview (because in the first preview the shadows doesn't works), now with the official release twinmotion 2023.1 the shadows does't work again. I've tried to reinstall the software but I have the same problem.
today I had an issue with omnidirectional light. It didn't generate any type of shadow. I don't really know how was it in previews, but in the 2022 version this wasn't an issue.
Testing this issue in the final release version of Twinmotion 2023.1, the shadows for these lights appear to be working as expected. Please know the shadows are not enabled by default, though they can be enabled in the light's Properties. If you have not already, under "Shadows" please try checking the box for Shadows/Enabled as shown here:
Thank you for letting me know, I'd seen that the Shadow would not render in the viewport when the Shadow Quality is set to low in Preferences, though I'm afraid I'm not certain what would cause the issue to persist in renders as well. If you are still experiencing this issue, can you please use the Contact Us button on the Twinmotion Community home page here to Submit a Bug Report so we can help look into this further?
you can see from my Screenshots and 2 renders done with 2 different versions of Twinmotion 2022 and 2023 that in the old version using omni light there is a shadow and un the newer one the shadow even if it-s enabled in the settings doesn't get rendered. I tried with area light and i got the same result. I tried also with some IES directional lights and the result was different.
as you can see the light settings are pretty much the same, but I got different results
