No longer able to reply to threads in the announcements forum?

Wanted to leave a question for the next livestream in the announcement thread only to find that regular users apparently can’t comment there anymore.

I assume this is an oversight and not an intentional change, as this makes very little sense. Only a minority of people will be able to ask their question while the stream is live, it makes much more sense to be able to compile them in advance and address them during the stream…

Thank you for flagging this! It was not an intentional change and happened automatically due to a private category nested under ‘Announcements.’

We’ve restored the ability for the community to respond to announcement threads.
