Niagara 'wrap around' aerodynamics effect

Trying to create a dust and smoke ‘wraparound’ effect similar to what you might see in vehicle aerodynamics tests

As a starting point I have my emitter attached to my moving vehicle.
Is it necessary to inherit the velocity of the parent moving object and if so how?

Any other pointers in achieving this effect in Niagara?

what if you just use meshes
and have ribbon effect shaders on them
you could probably just a similar look
