Niagara sprite particles rendered in front of hair strands

After upgrading to 5.6 I started seeing this weird issue that you can see in the clip above. Niagara particles, even though they are behind the character, are rendered in front of the hair strands. Hair cards are not affected, only strands.

Any idea what I’m doing wrong, or is this just a bug?

Like usual, I found a fix after bothering to make a post about it…

In Project Settings→Engine→Rendering find the option “Separate Translucency” and tick it off. This fixed the issue for me.

Still doesn’t seem like intended behaviour though.
