Hi, I can’t understand the quite simple effect. I have the default Niagara Emitter with the Hanging Particulates template. I want these dust particles to be all around, but only in a certain area (using volume or field?) the particles are affected (direction and speed). A local wind will thus be created, but it will not affect the rest of the particles. I found that it could be done using “Vector field”, but I find it unnecessary to create it when I only need one direction of particle influence. Can you advise please? Thank you very much.
Hi @thegrid89
It might be a good idea to have a seperate emitter for the particles in the area you want to have a wind effect.
Use the add a wind force in that system Update section
Ok, but I want the particles from the first emitter to be affected. Your solution will not affect these particles. I need the field of influence to be easily adjustable using some external object (or volume). Maybee help solution about node “is Point Inside Box”? And set the dimensions of this box to some real object. But I don´t find more detailed instructions
OK, is there at least some way to kill particles in a defined world position and box size specified externally with BP?
