Niagara G buffer to create this effect?

I’ve been looking for a few days now trying to figure out how to create this type of effect I’ve sen in a pretty lights concert.

I believe what I’m looking for is gbuffer projecting with a grid onto my character?

Can anyone help me figure out how I can go about creating this effect? I THINK it sounds simple enough, if I could have a grid projecting over my character and projecting the particles onto the mesh as it animates…I think I could be golden but I’m still super lost and would love ANY help on this. I really just want to learn more about niagara and also how to achieve this look.

Hi, something like this?

That’s the idea but i’m trying to do this on a mesh without a camera but…maybe this is the only way? Appreciate the reply regardless.

You can probably do it in a simpler way than the tutorial, I was just going through it at the time for the rendertarget reading side of things - you may be able to do the whole effect in a material using Vertex color values for the color point values.
