Niagara Fluid Smoke Outline/Halo When Occluded by Objects

Since 5.7 I have this wierd glitch: any objects I tried (static and skeletal meshes, landscape, particles meshes) that occludes a niagara fluid sim, i.e. smoke, the occluding object cast an outline that shows what’s behind the smoke. It seems to me like some kind of antialiasing/temporal thing or something about translucency sorting. I tried chaning the translucency pass option in the gas3d material, and tweak sorting priorities but with any luck. Even messing around with AA didn’t have any result. Does anyone knows what it could be? The project is third person template with a nanite landscape and some static meshes
