Newly created modeling blocks have no collision despite proper settings.

Summary

When I place a block created using modeling tools, it has no collision, even though I have applied the same settings that used to work in the past. This only happens with newly created blocks — older ones work as expected.

Steps to Reproduce

1.Open UEFN and create a new block using the modeling tools.
2.Apply collision settings (the same ones that previously worked).
3.Place the block in the world.
4.Enter play mode and try to walk into the block.

Expected Result

The player should not be able to walk through the block — proper collision should be applied.

Observed Result

The player can walk through the newly created block as if it doesn’t exist — there is no collision, even though the correct collision settings were applied.

I always open the mesh and go down to the bottom of the list on the right and change to fortstaticmesh and project default

Sorry the physics one

Just always done that tbh so i wouldnt know if it was bugged

i have this issue too after the recent update, no matter what i change in settings i have to go and apply collisions manually to meshes

I’m having the same issue and I cannot find a workaround.

This is somehow related to the 34.30 Modeling change “The new default CollisionMode option is now set to SimpleAndComplex”

The workaround would be to change the ‘Collision Complexity’ to use complex as simple. (Use the mesh’s geometry to calculate collisions) OR in the Collision drop-down - Add a simplified collision shape.
