Hi, I’m new to unreal and was animating in it, I did a nice little animation of this mech moving, was really nice and smooth and I saved repeatedly throughout to not lose any progress. I hit the button that says “Start recording into current sequence” thinking it was a way to render a movie file and lost literally everything I did, the control rig and animation both disappeared completely from the mesh. I tried to undo it but nothing changed but since I didn’t save after that, I thought I could just revert by closing and re-opening the file but nope, the data is all gone and I can’t find it.
Can anyone help me out? Is the animation saved somewhere? If so, where can I find it?
That's frustrating. When you hit "Start recording into current sequence," it might've overwritten your animation. Check the Sequencer for any recorded takes. Also, peek in the "Deleted Assets" in the Content Browser; sometimes, stuff ends up there by accident. If you didn't save afterward, the undo might not do the trick. Lesson learned: backups are lifesavers. Hope you can recover it!
That’s the same thing that happened to me it’s making me more frustrated. I’ll try this later. Thank you! Anyway, do you have any recommendations for backlinks and brand protection for online games, especially in the casino industry? If you do, please share the site~
