New to Unreal. Looking to replicate a 'Rail' from Quake. Would I use a ray cast / particle system?

Hello all!

I’m new to Unreal and I was hoping to get your help. I’m trying to find a tutorial / literature that’s newb friendly that will help me to create a laser. Specifically, a Rail from Quake. In the past (coming from other engines) I would have used a C# to create a ray cast and a particle system to show the line. The Blue Print system is quite foreign to me and I’m not sure where to begin! I was hoping for some insight / ideas so that I can start to get a grasp on what’s going on. I thought projectiles would be a good start.
