Just downloaded a new “smart asset” from Fab.com. I can see it in Fab.com’s “My Library”. But the download button brings up a dialogue that says to find it in my Vault. I go to my Vault in Unreal and the asset is not listed. I even tried logging out of my Unreal account and back in to see if it would refresh and it didn’t. The dialogue mentions a Fab UE5 plugin, but I didn’t see a Fab plugin under Plugins.
I noticed in the settings of the Epic Launcher that there was an update. I updated the Epic Launcher and my new purchase is now showing up in the Vault. Thanks!
Same problem. I have items purchased and owned that appear in the www.fab.com/library, but they don’t show under the fab library in the Epic Launcher. The items that do show in the Epic launcher do not show in the www.fab.com/library. IT’S A MESS!!!
I’m in the same situation! I have reinstalled my launcher and engine but I am not able to find in my vault my purchase… I really need it. I have paid a lot of money on the asset pack… Did they just launch this withouttesting if it works? It’s horrible!
my disappointment is immesurable and my day is ruined
What a nightmare! Fortunately, I understand that you can click the small download button underneath the asset in your FAB library. Unfortunately, I don’t see one of these buttons for this asset, unlike my other assets…
Like where is this magic integrations they speak of for the actual Engine and NOT UEFN.
Integrations
Both Unreal Engine and Unreal Editor for Fortnite include a Fab integration to browse, purchase, and access your products similar to Fab.com. The feature provides the option to drag your products into your project scene.
You must access your UEFN referenced assets directly in the editor using the Fab integration. To learn more about Fab for UEFN, see Import from the Fab Marketplace.
The Fab integration for Unreal Engine is available for versions 5.3 and above. If you have 5.3 or 5.4 already installed, you must download the integration from the Vault in the Epic Games Launcher separately if you want to start using it. For new engine installs or updates, the Fab integration is automatically included.
To access the integration in Unreal Engine after the install is complete, follow these steps:
In the menu bar click Window > Fab.
Open the Content Drawer, and in the toolbar, click Fab.
I’ve just reinstalled my UE a few hours ago an there’s no FAB plugin installed (no windows>fab option). In my epic games Launcher I haven’t found any integration plugin for download…
My hope was this plugin was going to make things better by actually allowing me access to assets not showing up in my vault but the reality is that it made the entire process way more cumbersome and confusing.
Quick update that it appears my missing assets are slowly starting to trickle into my vault which is awesome! I’m still having issues with the plugin but that’s minor as long as I can access the content and add to my project from the vault
Ok, so i have installed the plugin. But I can’t seem to be able to add my pack to my project. I am starting to wonder if I have the right version and not the fortnite version. I see they also have a profesional option witch chosts way more. SHould I have bought that to be able to add it in my project? I havetried everything and I can’t seem to be able to download it from the browser, nor it appears in my vault…
I just went to the settings menu in my Epic Games Launcher and updated it to the latest version. After that the FAB Libary shown up in my Libary and I was able to download my content I purcased on FAB. After that I found the FAB Plugin in the Libary in my Epic Games Launcher and installed it. So it solved it for me
