Hi everyone, sorry to bother you, but we’re in a tight spot and hoping someone can shed some light on an issue we’ve encountered.
We created a hexagonal big-hall projection using an nDisplay cluster, and it has been running fine for the longest time. Recently, our client requested new skins for the projection. However, we ran into a problem: the staff member who originally developed the content left the company before properly handing over the source files for all five skins created during round one. He only managed to locate and send us one of the five skins, which we then used as the base to create the latest version for our client.
The issue is that after packaging and uploading this version, it only runs for about 10 minutes before immediately crashing - testing showed its’ always the same 3 pc that crashes - without any logs or error messages. It behaves as if Alt+F4 was pressed; the application just closes abruptly.
No errors are shown, and no logs are captured. We are using UE 5.4.4 with 12 synced PCs for a 24-projector setup (each pc is connected to 2 projector.
Dev argued it’s hardware issue but I am sure it’s not a hardware issue, as all the 12 pcs can run all the other themes/ UE apps etc… with the exception of that 3 pc that fails on this new skin only. When we circled back and tested again with older skins, one of the skins kept failing with same symptom like the 3 pc (which ran fine previously but now just ends abruptly)…. I noticed the failures started after Nov 18. Not sure if it’s windows update or something?…

Summary:
PC 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 - ran fine before uploading of this theme, able to run all 5 skins
PC 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12 - ran fine after upload of this theme/ nov 18 patch
PC 5, 7, 11 - kept crashing after uploading of this theme/ coincided with nov 18 windows patch
PC 5, 7, 11 - kept crashing also with one of the old abstract COVID theme
This skin also used to run fine but started crashing after 10mins…
Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated! Willing to pay also to get this resolved.
