How do you change the distance field resolution on a mesh, does it need to be adjusted when creating the mesh before importing it into the engine? I have opened the mesh viewer in the engine and adjusted the distance field resolution from 1 to 100 and seen no difference in the distance field or shadow generated from the ray traced light.
I also have a problem with a particular mesh having severe artifacting when lit using distance field shadows and I’m not sure how to fix it, Video below:
also in this video is a issue where light is penetrating terrain from beneath the map in some areas and I’m also at a loss on that one.
Any help would be appreciated.
