Need help switching leap hand blueprints on event

Hello all, Im working on a vr game that uses hand input as paddles. In this game I want those paddles to switch to different paddles with different attributes on certain events. I tried setting up a simple test inside the leap controller blueprint so when I press tab the leap hand which leap controller holds but that didnt work and to be honest I felt it would be easy to work the way I tried :o but here is a screenshot of it.
