Need Help Recovering UEFN Maps After Factory Reset

I’m reaching out because I’m having serious trouble recovering my UEFN projects after a factory reset and OneDrive sync issues. Here’s everything I’ve done and what I’m experiencing:

  • Before the reset, I had multiple UEFN projects saved in my OneDrive folder under: C:\Users\jachr\OneDrive\Documents\Fortnite Projects

  • After resetting my PC, I reinstalled UEFN and let OneDrive resync. I now see folders like ky, CURZS, crz, and others, as well as newer versions like ky_, CURZS_, etc. The folders with underscores were syncing, and I used “Always keep on this device” to force them to download.

  • Once synced, I located .uefnproject files like ky.uefnproject and tried opening them in UEFN. The project loads, but the map is completely blank—none of my custom islands appear.

  • I also see duplicate project entries in the UEFN launcher, but clicking them does nothing. I’ve searched for .umap files inside the project folders and tried opening them manually, but I either don’t see them or they don’t load my island.

  • I’ve tried restarting OneDrive, checking sync status, searching for .uproject and .umap files, and even browsing OneDrive online. Still, I can’t recover my actual maps.

These projects represent a lot of work, and I’m really hoping there’s a way to restore them. Is there any way Epic can help me recover the .umap files or confirm if they’re still linked to my account?
