Need help forcing a ribbon particle to be flat on ground.

Hi! I wanted to use a ribbon particle to create skid mark under the tires for my vehicle project, and the ribbon is rotating in the direction of movement instead of laying flat on the ground. I would appreciate if someone told me what properties are important to set and generally what to look out for to get this working.

In case someone comes across this with the same problem, here’s how I solved it.

Under the ribbon renderer, change Facing Mode to Custom. It should put a binding at the bottom to check Particle.RibbonFacing.

Then, in Particle Spawn, use the + to add the variable Particles.RibbonFacing. Have it point up!
