nDisplay not possible on high refresh rate HDMI TVs?

Hello, we have 3 large TVs with HDMI inputs supporting 4K120/144.

Running these with RTX graphics cards (5090 in this case) means we have 2xHDMI and 3xDisplayPort outputs at our disposal.

This is proving very difficult or even impossible, barring adding more computers so each screen is driven by one dedicated machine each - which is our very last resort (this should work right?).

We’ve bought a bunch of HDMI to DisplayPort cables that support 4K120, but when running our packaged exe with nDisplay it falls back to regular non-nDisplay rendering immediately on one screen.

We’ve ruled out that it’s indeed the cables or probably specifically the active adapters inside the cables causing this problem - as we can run the same setup no problem with 3 gaming monitors all connected via DisplayPort to DisplayPort.

We’re not using mosaic/surround yet, as this has also proven difficult with these TVs/cables so maybe this hints at a bigger problem also - the monitors will go black when this setting is enabled. In theory I believe windows extended desktop should work barring display sync.

We’ve found a list updated in 2023 of Nvidia approved adapters, but none of them support above 60 hz so this is our second to last option.
