So for everything else in the project the nav mesh works fine, but this section is a cave under the landscape, I use the visibility option in the landscape tools to create holes in the landscape.
The odd thing is that the nav mesh only works in the area directly below an opening in the landscape (see images)
The goal is for all of the cave floor to have a nav mesh for the ai to roam around.
Why is the nav mesh not working in the rest of the cave area (i’m sure it was working… but now it isn’t)
Ariel showing the hole in the landscape
showing nav mesh bounds volume around cave
Interior view showing the only area getting the navmesh (directly under the hole)
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated - I’ve been struggling to work out why only this area received the nav mesh until I noticed the hole above it and realised I’m out of my depth and don’t understand why the rest isn’t receiving it
Also: on a side note, less important - Does anyone know how to stop the nav mesh appearing on the tops of the trees? I’ve checked through all the settings in the tree static mesh but I must be overlooking something (i imagine theres a checkbox to not create nav mesh on top)
