Nanite on merged staticmeshes causing Graphics Driver crash on AMD graphics cards

In our project we are enabling Nanite wherever we can, its great.

We created a few static meshes using the merge actor tool. Then we started seeing crashes on AMD graphics cards (locally we only have one an 7900XTX).

We disabled Nanite on the merged meshes using “Disallow Nanite”, and the crashes went away.

In the same level we do use all the individual assets (un-merged) and don’t have an issue with those.

Have you tried the new “approximate” mode for mesh merging?

It was designed specifically for Nanite, as other methods could have issues with such high detail models.

This is solution for newly created merged meshes, but what about already merged assets? I have many used long time, also from marketplace and they all broken now. Was no problem with 5.2.1 for example, but glass now works etc, meshes was correct. Now glass is visible, but ugly deformation. I’m sure just ue5++ bug and pain
