My Unreal Engine is failing to launch in VR

I am currently using Version 5.3. I am trying to get the vr preview to work through Steam Vr. I noticed that we do not use the Steam Vr plugin anymore and we now use OpenXr. I tried setting everything up for OpenXr, but to no avail. I made a fresh new VR Starter Project, and it still does not work. I do not know if there is something I am missing or if there is an issue I do not know about.

What is funny though is that I have gotten Steam Vr to recognize the game because for a couple seconds, it says that the Unreal Engine is up next, but then it doesnt load anything as if I never hit VR Preview to begin with. Sometimes, it does it and I see the Compiling Shaders text in the top left corner.

There is a race condition in the 5.3 OpenXR plugin that causes issues with SteamVR. It has been fixed in 5.4 if I remember right. SteamVR has had updates to the OpenXR renderer recently, so the bug could manifest in different ways than described in the thread.
