Hi Unreal community,
I’ve just gotten my first project to a point where I’d like to render an image from it and I must be doing something terribly wrong, because it looks awful.
I’m using Deferred Render since Path Tracer is apparently unavailable to me for some reason (“Path Tracing is currently not enabled for this project and this render pass will not work”).
In the Derred Render Tab I have only “Main Render” selected
I have Anti-Aliasing set to 1 Spatial and 16 Temporal Sample Counts, and have selected Override Anti-Aliasing selected.
I’ve chosen .exr as my file format and my output settings are 1920X1080 for the time being.
Cinematic Quality is selected under Game Overrides.
Renders are very quick, but aren’t worth looking at.
Attached are screenshots of my render settings, the .exr, and a screenshot of my editor view set to “lit” so you can see how disappointing the render is.
[Edited to add: It may also be important to know that the lighting in the scene is DMX controlled using the built-in DMX Control Console plugin.]
Help?
