1920x1080 seems like a very reasonable output resolution, but do you still crash if you set the resolution very low?
A few paths forward:
If you go to your Unreal Engine installation options (drop down next to ‘Launch’ on engine version) you can download ‘Editor symbols for debugging’ (50GB) With the symbols you should be able to get more information in the crash window. (Instead of just “UnrealEditor_Sequencer” in the crash log it should point to the precise file/function)
This extra information might give clues as to what settings to change for a successful render. PLUS it will be helpful if you choose to enter a bug report.
But, for a bug report you’ll need to be able to reproduce this crash from a new project. Feel free to post the repro steps or a minimal sample project, (File → Zip project) and I’ll give it a try on my PC.
Ok. I’ve downloaded the Editor Symbols. Uninstalled UE and installed in a new drive (I wanted to do this before, so I found it proper to do it now). Here is the error with details. Could you @astrotronic help me understand what I did wrong? I have a cinematic there that I needed to deliver yesterday Pls help.
I cannot help you understand what you did wrong, getting this ‘deep’ for me is like trying to understand hieroglyphics. The next step down the C++ rabbit hole would be figuring out what ‘SectionAreaView’ is and what tool tip the code is referencing in ‘GetSectionToolTip’. Then again, It might be something higher up in the callstack that’s causing the crash.
