My laptop RTX 4050 outperforms my RTX 3090, how is this possible?

I recently moved my simple UE5 project from my workstation to my work laptop to take it home for work. The scene is a simple VR that i am preparing in UE5 with static lighting, no raytracing no lumen no nanite. Datasmith export from an modeling software and baking lights. On my office workstation it runs at 60-90 fps in editor, using an RTX 3090 but when i ran it on my Asus g16 laptop with an RTX 4050 the fps are steady 120-200 it seemed crazy to me. How is this even possible?

Well if it’s baked lighting, no RTX, no Lumen your graphics card is doing barely anything, so that won’t be the bottleneck.

SSD maybe?

Thanks Thomas for the reply, i haven’t thought of it like that, you are right i will look into the SSD!
