no

Depending on the level of corruption, if you’ve put to much work into it to start over

You might be able to cut or copy it and paste that into notepad.

That at least saves whatever is in it, but if its usable ???

Maybe something like create a new sequence and copy that into a different notepad, then compare the start and end and see if you can copy the middle bits from the corrupt one to the new one???

copy the text and paste it into the editor viewport

check-in changes before you try that though in case it goes funny

I don’t know… longshot idea

thx ill tryy

crazy that revision control cant do nothing about it, and its not a local issue, my friend loaded my map thru revision control and he got the same issue

theres nothing in notepad except its path

so thx epic at this point i guess cant even recover it thru revision control as for some reason its broken even there

Oh no, that’s not good, did you have any earlier snapshots, you can copy from one and paste into another.

I keep crashing mid save every so often at the moment… hope the next update…

Not being a local issue is alarming, otherwise I would have suggested to move your project out of fortnite projects and sync a new one into a fresh folder, sometimes local curruption gets stuck in the projects folder and messes with local revision control

i cant copy from previous snapshot as it says that its invalid even there( when IT WAS WORKING ON THESE SNAPSHOTS

also just noticed, that when im restoring old snapshots(the map changes to an old form as in snapshot) it says im on latest
and how do i jump back on my real latest snapshot

image

that is a bit of a worry, check the date ranges at the top of the snapshot history and set it to a future date like 6 or 7 sept, sometimes my recent ones don’t show because the date range is a few hours out because of maybe a timezone difference with the snapshot history’s default date range.

The “at latest” looks scary, but hopefully you just set an old snapshot to be the latest and your real latest is now the 2 latest snapshot

the thing that i did not restored any snapshot as latest

it looks like urc doesnt bring me into the older snapshot(HUD), but the map changes( as in the older snapshot), and one more thing is that when i tried to fix my cinematic issue, i just moved the cinematic into another folder thru file explorer, and now when i loaded up the old shanphot, the cinematic is in the folder that i mobed in the lastest snapshot HOW S THAT EVEN POSSIBLE

If the folder is still inside the Project folder, the old cinematic could be out of the urc changelist, but loads up because it’s still in the project folder,

if the folder is somewhere different like User/pictures it should not be in the project anymore

if you manage to get your map to the state you want it, save, load up a different map, manually move the urc folder in your projects to the desktop with file explorer, then open your map back up and check-in, if there is anything dodgy in the urc, this will make a fresh one.

The urc folder thing is being used at the moment, because crashing or saving issues are corrupting urc connection on a map

Snapshot retrieval failed. One or more obsolete files could not be deleted.

this says in urc log
