Publishing
Steps to Reproduce
Create and prepare the Fortnite Creative island MAXIMO 1V1 for publication.
Submit a release through the Fortnite Creator Portal.
Receive a rejection under Rule 1.13 — Keep It Authentic, stating that the thumbnail is misleading, inappropriate, or does not represent the actual in-game experience.
Replace the thumbnail with different designs and submit another release.
Repeat the process using different thumbnails, including versions without the island code and screenshots taken directly from the actual in-game map.
Every submission receives the same rejection, and the island itself is never reviewed.
Expected Result
The submitted assets should be reviewed according to the Fortnite Developer Rules. If a specific asset violates Rule 1.13, the moderation team should identify the problematic element clearly enough for the creator to correct it. If the assets comply with the rules, the island should proceed to the next stage of moderation.
Observed Result
Every submission is rejected under Rule 1.13 with the same generic thumbnail-related explanation, even after I replace the thumbnails with different designs and actual in-game screenshots.
The moderation report states that the decision was made by human moderation on October 24, 2026, and that the island itself was not reviewed.
I have tried multiple approaches and still cannot identify which specific asset is causing the rejection. The repeated rejection prevents me from publishing my island.
Platform(s)
PC — Windows, using the Fortnite Creator Portal in a web browser.
Island Code
7253-8040-1802
Additional Notes
Island name: MAXIMO 1V1
Rejected release: 7253-8040-1802v1
Rejection date: October 24, 2026
Violation: Rule 1.13 — Keep It Authentic
I have already tried different thumbnail designs, removed the island code from the artwork, and used screenshots of the actual in-game experience. The same rejection continues.
I am not trying to bypass the moderation rules. I want to comply with them and publish my island correctly. I would appreciate a specific explanation of which submitted asset is causing the violation, or guidance on how to have this case reviewed by the appropriate moderation team.
If this is not a technical bug, please let me know which official support channel can investigate this repeated rejection.
Thank you.
