Multiple gamepads connected, input recognized only from one, 4-27

Hello,

I’m quite new to unreal engine, right now I use the latest version 4.27.2 and I got stuck on the problem. I try to develop a local multiplayer game on PlayStation. I have three gamepads, 2 dualsense (ps5) and one dualshock (ps4). All of them are connected via Bluetooth to my mac computer and on page https://gamepad-tester.com/ they are recognized and work perfectly. But inside the unreal editor, I can get input just from one of them, therefore I am unable to control multiple spawned players…

Do you know, what should I do? It’s quite annoying

Btw, I tried these gamepads with Unity and they work as should, so IMO there is no problem with gamepads or mac…

Thank you very much

Hey Tomas,

This issue with Unreal Engine not detecting additional gamepads beyond the first on macOS has persisted since 4.27. Even worse, this problem extends to iOS builds of the projects as well.

I’ve submitted several bug reports over the years and raised the issue with Epic staff on Discord.

If you were ever able to find a solution, please share it.

This issue continues to hold back local coop development for Mac, iOS, tvOS, etc.

Any help would be appreciated. :slightly_smiling_face:

Cheers.
