Summary
Hello Epic Games,
I am the creator of island (SNIPER SCRIMS) and I would like to report multiple issues that appeared after recent Fortnite updates.

6593-0895-0067
I have spent many hours testing, troubleshooting, and attempting to resolve these problems myself. As a final step, I even created a copy of the island and converted it to UEFN to determine whether the issues were caused by my island configuration. After extensive testing, the same problems remained in both the Creative 1.0 and UEFN versions of the island, which leads me to believe this may be a game-side issue rather than a configuration issue.
Island Configuration:
- Teams: Free For All
- Team Size: 1
- Last Standing Wins: Enabled
Issue 1: Players Randomly Assigned to the Same Team
Before the recent updates, the island worked correctly.
Now, during public matchmaking, random players are sometimes assigned to the same team even though the island is configured as Free For All.
Symptoms:
- Players appear as teammates.
- Friendly Fire must be enabled for them to damage each other.
- Eliminations between those players do not count correctly.
- Because they are on the same team, they can only eliminate each other through Friendly Fire, and those eliminations do not award kill credit properly.
- Players appear grouped together as teammates despite FFA settings.
- This occurs with random public players, not only party members.
Issue 2: Cumulative Scoreboard Not Working
The cumulative scoreboard appears to be broken.
I enabled:
- Show Cumulative Stat Value on HUD
- Show Cumulative Scoreboard
However, the scoreboard shown at the end of rounds still only displays the current round’s result instead of cumulative values across multiple rounds.
I personally tested this multiple times and also tested it with another player. The scoreboard never accumulates wins or statistics across rounds even when the cumulative options are enabled.
Additional Information:
- Round Win Condition: Time Alive
- The issue persists after verifying island settings and testing many rounds.
- The scoreboard at the end of the game only reflects individual round results rather than cumulative progression.
Additional Testing Performed:
- Created a duplicate of the island.
- Converted the duplicate to UEFN.
- Retested all systems.
- The same issues remained present in both versions.
Because these issues persist in both Creative 1.0 and UEFN, I believe they may be related to matchmaking, team assignment, scoreboard functionality, or another game-side system introduced in recent updates.
I may be mistaken, and if there is a setting or configuration I have overlooked, I would sincerely appreciate any guidance. However, after many hours of testing and troubleshooting, I have been unable to find a solution.

Island Settings
Steps to Reproduce
- Launch island 6593-0895-0067 through public matchmaking.
- Join the match with multiple players.
- Play several rounds with Teams set to Free For All and Team Size set to 1.
- Observe that some random players are occasionally assigned to the same team.
- Attempt to eliminate a player who has been assigned to the same team.
- Observe that eliminations do not count correctly and kill credit is not awarded properly.
For the scoreboard issue:
- Enable “Show Cumulative Stat Value on HUD”.
- Enable “Show Cumulative Scoreboard”.
- Play multiple rounds and earn wins across several rounds.
- Reach the end-of-round scoreboard.
- Observe that the scoreboard displays only the current round result instead of cumulative wins and statistics across rounds.
Expected Result
Players should always be assigned to separate teams in a Free For All island. Eliminations should award proper kill credit. The cumulative scoreboard should accumulate wins and statistics across rounds when cumulative options are enabled.
Observed Result
Some players are assigned to the same team despite Free For All settings. Eliminations between those players do not count correctly. The cumulative scoreboard only displays round-based results and does not accumulate statistics across rounds.
