Summary

New players are not being added to existing servers until full, and are instead added to new servers with fewer players.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Have two or more players attempt to join the island at the same time.
  2. After matchmaking and loading into the island, check to see if they are in the same server.
  3. If not, have they ended up in two separate servers with less than maximum players.

Expected Result

Players should fill up existing servers to the maximum player count before starting to fill new servers to less than maximum.

Observed Result

Players often end up in new, less-populated servers, even when joining at the same time as other players.

Additional Notes

Current island team settings are 16 max players, Free For All, team size and rounds both 1, Game Mode Preset is Legacy. All players we tested with should be in the same region.

If it helps, this occurs here as well but in this case,
in a 24 player match, all players are joining in progress and not on game start.
Three friends on ps4 chat join a public game separate lobbies join the game.
Each game was populated with 12 players and nobody started on game start. Join in progress Island settings were set to spawn on Team 1 (team size 12).
All players in three different matches were 12 players on team 1.

The Game Start Island Spawner Devices have an issue when enabling at game start using a Timer Device. I know that was bugging out so I switched to using a Timed Objective device which is more reliable in terms of stability.

My JIP Island Spawner Devices are set to enable on timer objective rather than timer device as those are not reliable at game start when loading entire game at game start.
I am also creating a team balancing Verse system and customizing it to only begin on delay after players Choose their Teams through class selectors, when the verse balances the team thereafter :slight_smile: Fingers crossed!

I hope I can be any help as I am struggling with the same thing!
