I know we have sli support for 2 gpus, but I recently came across this article:
Disney was able to work with epic and nvidia to effectively split the load of rendering out a 5 projector 360 degree field of view across 8 gpus. Apparently they shared their implementation with epic, allowing them to incorporate in to the engine if they wish. I wanted to know if this has had any progress, or if there is a repo that can be accessed for the original implementation.
Note*
I know that the experimental nDisplay feature helps address multi projector set ups like the one discussed in the article. However nDisplay uses a multi-machine-multi-instance set up. There is a lot of room for game play to get out of sync. This also multiplies the number of cpu’s, motherboards, ram, etc. that one needs to set up a 5 panel display.
