Summary

When using the new orbit camera, if applying a movement modulator impulse on a player using the “apply remote impulse relative to player direction” setting, it impulses the player in the direction the camera is facing, rather than the direction the actual character is facing.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Use an orbit camera and apply it to players
  2. Use a Control: Third Person device, set facing direction to movement, apply to players
  3. Link a movement modulator that has the “apply remote impulse relative to player direction” on
  4. Link the activate event to a chosen input using the input controller device
  5. Activate the movement modulator using the input

Expected Result

The expected result would be for the remote impulse to apply in the direction the character is facing, rather than the direction the camera is facing. This bug causes weird cases where my character could be looking forward, but my camera is facing backward, so when the remote impulse is activated it will impulse my player backwards, rather than forwards, which is the direction my character is facing.

Observed Result

Character is impulsed in the camera facing direction rather than the direction the character is facing.
