MODULE VALIDATION FAILED

Summary

Hello Epic Support Team,

I am currently unable to start sessions in UEFN for my island.
Every time I try, I get the following error in the output log:

“MODULE VALIDATION FAILED (job 0046B7D3-9619-4370-8d3e-86d4b2c1567d):
Pre-processing step failed: Failed downloading the source assets for job: Error: Response code 404 (Not Found)
Candidate module failed validation with error: [errors.com.epicgames.pre-processing.download_failure]”

Important details:

  • My island is live and monetized, so I urgently need to publish updates.
  • I am the project owner, and I added an administrator (my teammate).
→ He is able to edit and launch sessions with no errors.
→ On my side, I am completely blocked by the 404 / Module Validation Failed error.
  • I already tried the following:
    • Deleted and recreated my local workspace many times.
    • Reinstalled UEFN via Epic Games Launcher.
    • Verified the installation.
    • Cleared redirectors and resubmitted files.
    • Tested on two different PCs (same account) → the error happens on both.
    • My teammate can still launch sessions successfully from his PC.

This shows that the issue is not with the island itself (since it works for my teammate), but specifically with my account/session environment.
Can you please investigate and reset/fix whatever is blocking my account from validating candidate modules?

Does mention localization, maybe switch your editor to English and try again, there are a few situations where editor language is causing validation errors

The output log now has a show filter, you can show only errors, which gives a +10 eye spy bonus to the observer

Did the above help you, @BigWahed?
