Hey everyone. Sorry if this is a newb question but I’ve been searching for days and I’m an uber n00b with both UE4 and 3DS Max…
I’m trying to recreate some characters from Aliens:Colonial Marines for a personal project and I used Ninja Ripper to get the meshes and textures. I have spent the last 3 days learning how to rebuild the model, and apply a texture (with correct orientations) to the meshes.
However the original model looks nothing like what I have created in terms of the textures. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
Clearly I need to atleast apply the different camo patterns to the pieces of armor, I would assume based on making it an editable polygon/mesh, selecting the faces then “doing something”…Im just not sure what that something is. Also not sure what those other textures are that look like the armor…or what to do with them. All of the textures are DDS files.
Can anyone help a brother out?
