I’m having an issue with my UEFN project. The project itself is still visible and shows that it is backed by Unreal Revision Control, but when I open the map, all of my content is missing and I only see a default island.
Before switching to my new PC, the map was fully built and working correctly. It also showed that it was backed up to the UEFN cloud. However, now after opening it on a different PC, none of my work is there.
I did not intentionally delete anything, and I’m worried that the wrong version of the project (possibly an empty/default one) has been synced instead of my actual map.
Could you please check if there is a way to restore a previous version of the project or recover my map data from Unreal Revision Control?
What is the project idthat is mentioned in your .uefnprojectfile (which you can find in the root of your project directory) when you open it in a text editor?
Clicking SAVEdoes not utilize Unreal Revision Control. You need to get into the habit of clicking CHECK IN CHANGES and submitting your work to our servers.
For now…
Could you open the Branch Explorer (Beta)via the Revision Controlmenu in the bottom right hand side of the editor?
Then, in the list on the left, click on the arrow in front of mainso you can see its child branches.
It should show you main-db90dd0d4c1a742da1289abc51941e2c.
Can you double click that to switch to that branch?
And do you think you could also help me with the island settings? Because the game isn’t automatically connecting people to a single server even when there are open slots (my map is for 16 people), and it just won’t connect people even when they’re in the same region.
