I have a question and was wondering if anyone else had experienced it and knew a fix/what might be causing it? I migrated some static mesh assets between two projects (which also picked up their material instances and parent materials)… The message log said migration successful and listed the migrated files. But when I opened the migrated to project, a lot of the assets were missing in the Content Browser, including some of the static meshes, the parent materials and the textures. But when looking in file explorer, all of the files are there and the correct file sizes…
Was was wondering if anyone has seen this before, or had any ideas why this might be happening?
Hey, sorry to bump but I’ve checked all project and files settings and details and still can’t find a reason for this, its really stopping our project workflow, any ideas would be great… thanks…
Yep found it, when creating the new project had the same problem but noticed our staging project had been updated to 4.23 and our main project was still on 4.22… Updated main project to same version and all migrated okay…
Thanks…
FIXED by enabling Water Plugin + Editor Preferences: Procedural Foliage!
Just had this issue with migrating maps from a UE4.26.1 project to another UE4.26.1 so it wasn’t the UE4 version.
However, the project where I created my map used the new ocean spline and procedural foliage.
Enabling the water plugins and procedural foliage solved the issue so if you have the same issue check your plugins and project settings in the old and new projects to make sure they are aligned.
