Metahumans Plugin for 5.1.0 ?

All I want for Christmas is MH Plugin 5.1

What will be new there? quixel bridge is in Ue5.1, you can download metahumans from there…

This can also be done in UE5.0.3, sent to MetaHuman Creator, and from there to UE5.1.0 via the quixel bridge…

Hello, I would like to install the metalhuman plug-in in Unreal Engine. But I have the Unreal Engine 5.1 version and the metahuman plugin is only available until Unreal Engine 5.0 version. Please how can i reinstall Unreal Engine to a former version(5.0)?

Epic Games Launcher → Library → Engine Versions + → Select

Oh very dear. I’ve just got my environment looking how my client wants it in 5.1, and he wants a Metahuman in front of the building.

Only this is how I found out that Metahumans are broken in 5.1. Any Blueprint I bring in just says BAD in the viewport.

This ain’t great.

You may be using the UE4 version of the MetaHuman.
There are two versions, one for UE5 and one for UE4.
Download the Metahuman for the correct engine version.

The metahumans work in 5.1
It is important you start with a clean project that has no previous metahumans
keep the project open and make a new metahuman and export it to bridge
do not use an older metahuman
open bridge and export to the project
or go find the folder inside bridge and drag drop it into content.
You cannot mix older metahumans with the latest ones.

Ah. Yeah, well, no way to know all that beforehand.

For now I’m just going to use them in 5.0.

Can confirm Metahuman plugin is available for 5.1 in the Marketplace now!

Btw it was possible previously to import Metahumans using Quixel bridge in 5.1, however it wasn’t possible to do Mesh-to-Metahuman and other features that required the Metahuman plugin, until the plugin was released for 5.1. Which it is now! Thank you, Unreal and Metahuman team!

And what does this update bring? Absolutely nothing! The body can’t be edited either.
