I’m trying to package a custom metahuman that has 4 custom textures.
No matter where I put them I get verification errors “These are not the correct places for these textures.”
The documentation says nothing about where to put custom textures in terms of file structure. Everywhere I try is a fail. It only mentions grooms, clothing, skeletal clothing, and editable character files. Any ideas?
I’m pointing to the textures in Metahuman creator with the “custom textures” inputs. So it’s really curious to me that it wants me to then put the textures in some other unknown location, despite directing them to the location in metahuman creator.

What Type of Bug are you experiencing?
Metahuman Character Creator > Metahuman Manager > Package to Fab
Steps to Reproduce
Assign custom skin textures in Metahuman Character Creator and then try to package it using Metahuman Manager. Placed MHC file in Content/EditableCharacters/MHC_Shrank. Tried placing textures dozens of different places.
Expected Result
Metahuman verification with no errors
Observed Result
see image
”The Asset /Game/EditableCharacters/MHC_Shrank/MHC_Shrank is attempting to reference /Game/OutfitClothing/MHC_Shrank/SkinTextures/T_Body_BC which is not in the correct folder to be included in the package”
Here are my 4 custom skin textures, assigned inside metahuman creator. I have tried putting them in the following locations but Metahuman Assembly tool doesnt like any of them:
I would just build the character with normal skin and then attach the custom skin later but it would create a wrong looking character thumbnail for the fab page.
I can see an example here on FAB that someone has figured out how to include custom textures and where to put them that metahuman manager is happy with
The only part that mentions anything about textures is it saying that textures are allowed in the Groom and OutfitClothing folders. But no, not my textures
