Is there a way to get the created Metahuman with the rig from Metahuman Creator in 5.6 into Maya? The old process was to go through Quixel Bridge and download the rig from there. I don’t see any options for that.

This is not something that is currently available while Unreal Engine 5.6 is in Preview. We will be providing a solution for this as part of the full release.

Yes, it will provide a rig for the head and body, based on what has been created in MetaHuman Creator in Unreal Engine. It will be similar to the existing process, updated to reflect the other changes that have been made to the product.

As part of the full Unreal Engine 5.6 release last week, we announced MetaHuman for Maya. This includes the Character Assembler tool which can be used with characters exported from MetaHuman Creator in Unreal Engine using the ‘DCC Export’ assembly pipeline.

One thing I noticed that is not working in Metahuman for Maya is the metahuman is always brought “y-up”. Even if I select “z-up” in assembly, it brings it in “y-up”. Am I missing any step? Thanks!
No, there shouldn’t be any other step required. Let me speak to the engineering team to see if we can replicate this before I ask for any more information.
