Metahuman head detaches in sequencer 5.5

Summary

None of the other techniques are working for me, this is kind of absurd, how many years of metahumans we have had? literally the exact same issue , over and over and over

it happens randomly, most recently once I added a control rig to the face in one shot, the head became broke in all other shots

Expected Result

the head should stay on the body

Observed Result

the head floats unattached

It’s crazy that they haven’t fixed this issue.

We also have run into this issue a lot. Especially in the case you mention, where you add control rig to one part, but not the rest.

The solution for us has been to bake the head to control rig for everything, so it is never switching between animation assets and control rig.

It usually goes fine to switch once between them, but then when it goes back to animation asset after being controlled by the control rig, the head pops off.
