Metahuman - Editing Teeth position per expression

Hi Epic,

I’m in the process of modifying a UE5.6 Metahuman using scans to help closer match the likeness of a character. I want to adjust the Jaw Open Expression because the character jaw range of motion is less than the default Metahuman. I don’t have any issue updating the Expression on the sculpt_head_lod0_mesh, the issue I am having is updating the teeth to match the new jaw position.

Selecting teeth_lod0_mesh in the edit group and using transfer vertex positions doesn’t work and I’m given the error

“// Warning: utils : Please select a sculpt mesh from the edit group.”

I thought about editing the teeth position through joints but the teeth joints are part of the non editable joints layer.

Is it possible to edit the position of the teeth per Expression or is the only method of adjusting it at the Neutral pose stage.

Steps to Reproduce
Metahuman>Expression Editor

Load .DNA and select build rig scene to edit Expressions

Select Jaw_Open Expression and begin editing

Select edit_grp|teeth_lod0_mesh, shift select modified teeth mesh

Press transfer vertex position button in UI

You can edit the teeth mesh only on the certain expressions that have the teeth_mesh with blendshapes modifier (e.g. tongue expressions).

If you just want to reposition the teeth in the jaw_open expression, you can select the jaw joint and lowerLipRotation joint and rotate them together. You should be sure to do joints matching after this edit.
