Metahuman Clothing assets on mobile are distorted

Summary

Metahuman clothing assets in UE 5.7.2 render with severe distortion on Android platforms (and Android Platform preview in editor). I believe the issue may relate to the “Set Leader Pose Component” function in Metahuman BPs. The distortion only appears when the clothing is set to follow the body component.

This issue occurs with Epic default clothing assets, as well as clothing purchased from Fab.

Any insight into getting this issue resolved would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a Metahuman asset in 5.7.2. Leave look with defaults
  2. Attach default clothing to metahuman if not attached
  3. Rig with joints only rig
  4. Export Metahuman to project (Optimized - Medium Quality)
  5. Place Metahuman in level
  6. Enable Android Vulkan Platform Preview, or create an android build to see on device.
  7. Observe distortion of clothing assets when viewed on mobile.
  8. In the Metahuman BP, disconnect the “Set Leader Pose Component”
  9. Observe the clothing is not longer distorted.

Expected Result

Clothing renders correctly on Android Platforms when following another skeletal mesh via the “Set Leader Pose Component”

Observed Result

Clothing assets render with severe distortion on Android Platform Preview, and on Android Devices (Meta Quest 3)
