Metahuman Arms and Hands bad deformations by default in 5.6 and 5.7

I’ve noticed that all MetaHumans exported from the MetaHuman Character Creator have incorrect skin deformations, especially on the fingers. Do you know why this happens?

Even the default presets in Creator show these issues, and custom body types seem to make the problem even worse.

You’re right, I was trying hard to find what I was doing wrong because my custom mesh was never fitting the correct finger pose (as in the image).

I even tried to use the Blend feature to use one of the template hands instead of my model, but no luck.

Turns out that testing with a regular MetaHuman mesh without any edit the problem is still the same.

It seems the orientation of the finger bones are a little off. I hope Epic can solve it soon, it doesn’t look like something too difficult to make it work by default.
