Meta Quest 3 - projects run only when using quick launch ( UE5.7 & UE5.8 preview )

After several months working on other projects, I thought it was time to get back to VR and resume developing for the Quest.

But now all of my VR/XR projects only launch via quick launch to the Quest. As soon as I try to launch the same apps from the Quest menu from the ‘unknown sources’ list, I get a message saying that the app has stopped responding.

This is with UE5.7 with and without the MetaXR plugin, as well as with the UE5.8 preview - all with a brand new project from the default VR template.

AI’s are telling me it is related to this topic - but as you know, this is from AI :man_shrugging:
I suspect it’s something in the project settings or the Android SDK. Maybe someone has some time for testing and try to reproduce that issue.

Just something i didn’t try before yet. I was not in the defined boundary when starting a project, so the Quest provided me to select to “use stationary”, and that was the point where the projects were not responding. When starting the projects in the defined boundary, they are launching as expected!
