Meshes light up during night

Hi, So im using the realistic trees and grass pack from marketplace, aswell as my own meshes from Maya.

Looks good and all during the day, but during the night, they all light up (even more than they do during day).

I have checked around on internet and the answersHUB, but cant seem to find anything to solve it.

This is the day and night cycle tutorial I followed: Unreal Engine 4: How to Make a Day/Night Cycle! - YouTube

I have also seen the tutorial on Unreal engines documentation, but it is outdated and doesn’t work with the current unreal engine verision.

Any idea what the issue may be?

it looks like you have a light shining from below. have you tried adding a plane, rotating it to face downward, then scaling it to be the size of your landscape. if theres a light in the level that would tell you and it would also block the light.

i would also look into the light propagation settings. light bounces and such

Do you mean like geometry plane? Because I tried that, but didnt work

I Normally solve this temporarily by just placing a cube under the landscape to block the light. I don’t usually use planes as they too sometimes fail to stop the light. but ThompsonN13 is correct in saying that you’ll have to play with your light settings particularly on the landscape to stop this Properly. What ones exactly slip me at this point as I haven’t used Landscapes in awhile.
