Could use some help with this as I’ve tried everything that I know of. Current issue is seen in the image where my trees are rendering dark. I’ve tried in another 5.5 project with the same assets and get the same result. So whatever the default rendering is for 5.5, that also does it. Ive also tried another stylized asset pack and got the same rendering issues on those meshes in 5.5 but fine in earlier versions.
I’ve tested without lumen, with baked lighting, shadow maps, and have messed around with a bunch of other settings and still got the same result. Ill look into the dynamic shadows as I don’t recall messing with those.
You could try disabling dynamic shadows. Also, are the meshes themselves have lower diffuse properties by chance? I’ve saw that before as well. The question here will be if the culprit is the mesh, the lighting, or the shadow.
I would rule out it being the mesh as it works as intended on all other projects and versions of UE. I tried shadows and no luck. The tree lights correctly or looks more correct when it’s in direct line of sight of the directional light and on the opposite side is when it is dark.
