I have been having issues with Mesh Painting, I have tried using both nanite and non-nanite meshes, and the material functions are fairly basic, with just textures connected to a world aligned node, I did try using just a basic vertex color node connected to a constant3vector, as well as selecting multiple meshes and using shift to paint and nothing has seemed to work.
I don’t know much about this, but if it has anything to do with mesh painting, you could make sure that you have the plug-in for it turned on?
First make sure your mesh has vertex colors applied and imported into unreal.
So make very basic material that shows red for red vertex etc.
When you have such vertex material and vertex painted mesh working you may add your desired functionality.
