Mesh paint mode on nanite Fill or paint does not work completely. I cant paint small edge polies which is causing problems for my material that uses tesselation since i can paint away tesselation and moss and other fx…
It even sometimes paints the wrong color even though i disabled that color…
Whats with this tool? Broken? Unfinished? It seems like it was recently added to accomodate painting on nanite meshes without vertex color.
The uvs are fine in 0-1 space
EDIT here is an attached screenshot showing i cant paint to the end of all my meshes for some reason.. again uvs are fine.
yes. that setting does nothing. Basically anything that ends in a uv edge is unpaintable and un fillable.
This happens on small or large polys. My current meshes have a tiny sliver of geometry extruded into the wall just for culling purposes since i find nanite culls better when its totally blocking even tiny pixels between modular walls. In my current example the tiny slivers very edge dont get any paint info regardless of texture resolution.. And if i break the uvs of the tiny slivers off then the main large flat wall peices the very edge dont get any paint since they become the new uv edge. I can see this tesselation, but i can also see this in the texture paint view mode of just looking at “green color” for example.
